Bills, Ginza

Ever since the Bills opened in Fukuoka, I've been itching to go. I'm a big fan of breakfast any time of the day, and though the prices gave me pause, I wanted to try it. I finally got my chance when I had some spare time in Tokyo and I was a short walk from the Ginza location. Even shortly after opening, there was quite a wait, which I avoided by saying that I'd be glad to sit at the counter.Negative number one:  the counter seats are extremely tall, and tilt forward, so I had to sit with my legs crossed so one leg could brace against the counter and keep me from sliding off.

I ordered the Full Aussie, at a whopping 2400 yen, since it reminded me of delicious British breakfasts of childhood. It included free-range scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, roast tomato, herbed garlic mushrooms, and pork and fennel sausage. I'll say straight up that the eggs were nice and fluffy, and the sausage was pleasant. However, the rest of the meal (the bacon in particular) was forgettable. Certainly not worth the price. I was quite disappointed, and shan't be going back for a second try.
